Wednesday 3rd June 2020

Good morning.

Here are the answers to the Mind-boggling Mysteries:

  1. She called from a different phone and left a voice message for herself.  When she listened to it, she heard the current incorrect time.  She compared that with the incorrect time of her daughter’s message.  Once she knew how long ago her daughter had called, she knew when she needed to pick her up.
  2. It was the lat tree on the lot.

I will put the guided reading answers under the ‘Reading’ heading from now on.

Switch on those brains ready for today’s learning.

This week we will strip Literacy right back to focus on Grammar and Vocabulary.

The next three days will see you engaging with several Grammar and Writing games.  Today I would like you to complete – Alphabet Race (Try this one with a younger sibling); Noun Mind-map; Name it; Compound Nouns; and Get those nouns moving.

Last term we looked at Evolution (the many different theories)and inheritance.  This term we are going build on the knowledge of animal adaptations we learned last term, to create a creature for a specific environment.

Today I would like you to explore the many different body types for a chosen environment – how long did your creature stay alive? Why do you think it lasted that long? Can you change the legs/ arms/ head to make your creature last longer?

Mind-boggling Mysteries

This week we are embarking on a new and exciting project at St John the Divine.

This is to put together an online choir performance of the children from different year groups.

Mr Postles has put a new Blog on the Music page about this.  You can access the Music Blog from the same place you access this page every day of use this link below to go straight there:

In order to make this happen, all you need to do is to record the child singing along to one (or all three!) of the songs chosen for this project. There are a few things we need to get right, so please refer to the information on the blog!

To see Mr Postles explain the information in a video, please follow this link:

Keep up with keeping fit and healthy with PE with Jo.

Happy learning and see you tomorrow J
