Wednesday 29th April 2020

Good morning,

I hope you have all logged into Sumdog and continuing the completion – remember it closes this Thursday and we are in it to beat the year 4 class (in a nice way).

Answers to the Mind-boggling mysteries are:

  1. Pointing the finger:  Matching the fingerprints to the culprit was easy because they were so small.  One of guests had brought her child with her.
  2. Letting them sleep: The burglar had already robbed the house and was checking to make sure the owners were still asleep.

I hope you got both of these!

I hope you enjoyed the rain yesterday – rainy days are my favourite days.

Literacy:

After such hard work writing your own portal story, I thought it would be nice to have some fun with a different genre to help with creating dialogue. Today’s task is to create a comic strip that focuses around a hero. Have a look at the features of a comic strip below in the literacy lesson – it is up to you if you would like to draw your comic strip or use the link provided (USO login required)

Below you will find a selection of Maths related tasks for you to complete today.  Please complete Summer term – Week two, lesson three – Problem solving – remember to take your time and really think about what the question is asking you.

Once you have finished that login to Mathletics and SumDog.

Over the next two days we are going to continue looking at the changing landscape of London.  Complete lesson four.  In lesson four – instead of making a powerpoint – jot down the changes you notice by looking at the primary resources and possible economic reasons/ benefits for such a change.

I have also assigned you an activity on BusyThings – looking at natural features - Snowdon
