Good morning,

Answers to the Mind-boggling mysteries are:

  1. Running blind:  The thief was running out of a brightly lit building into a dark night.  He stopped at the exit and closed his eyes to prepare himself for the sudden darkness.  He knew that he would be able to see more quickly in the dark and that the police officer wouldn’t.
  2. Sleepwalk it off:  He put a lego toy in his sock so he would wake up when he stepped on it.

I hope you got both of these! I was so close with the second one – I thought that he placed something next to his bed and when he went to get up he would step on it.

Let’s dive right into today’s learning.

Literacy:

How did your interesting places you come up with using those abstract nouns go?  I’m afraid the best I could come up with was the ballroom of lost dreams; the bathroom of premonitions.  I’m sure you came up with better ones than those.

We will be continuing on with the TalkforWriting booklet – The City of Silence.  Today, can you please complete activity four, five and six.  In these tasks you will be trying your hand at some alliteration and judging idea.  You will be using these ideas later on this week – so remember the effort you put in now will make it easier when it comes to writing.
