Good morning and welcome to another week of learning.
Some of you went back to school last week? I hope you had a lovely time. I hear you were all well-behaved, helpful and eager learners. Good luck to those going in this week.
I hope you all had a lovely weekend – despite the cold change in weather.
Switch on those brains ready for today’s learning.
This week we will be working out of ‘The Gadgets Workbook.’ This workbook will focus persuasive writing – particularly adverts. We have completed a couple of tasks in class, creating our own Adverts; I look forward to reading your end results.
Today I would like you to read the introduction, and complete Activity one and two. Good luck with the code names.
Monday 8th June-Literacy
This week we will be examining an image (European Refugee) and the inferences we can take from it. We will cover vocabulary, spelling and punctuation associated with this image. I will post all of the answers this Friday.

We are going to continue to look at the 7 modern wonders of the world. Last week I asked you to explore in more depth a chosen Modern Wonder. You asked 4 questions (inc. Geographical location) and gathered information using a Spider-Map.
Over today and tomorrow I would like you to write your researched information into a Non-Chronological report about your chosen Modern Wonder. You may choose to simply write it in your exercise book, type it in words, or create a PowerPoint.

Here are today’s Mind-boggling Mysteries:
This week we are embarking on a new and exciting project at St John the Divine.
This is to put together an online choir performance of the children from different year groups.
Mr Postles has put a new Blog on the Music page about this. You can access the Music Blog from the same place you access this page every day of use this link below to go straight there:
In order to make this happen, all you need to do is to record the child singing along to one (or all three!) of the songs chosen for this project. There are a few things we need to get right, so please refer to the information on the blog!
To see Mr Postles explain the information in a video, please follow this link:
