Friday 1st May 2020

Good morning,

I hope you all went well with the Sumdog completion and we see some amazing results when they are released.

Answers to the Mind-boggling mysteries are:

  1. Evident Evidence:  The burglar was wearing much larger shoes than his actual foot size.  He hoped that if he was ever a suspect, detectives would compare the footprints to his foot and decide he was innocent.
  2. Wake up and go to bed:  He fell asleep with the television on every night. He woke up to the static and turned it off.

I hope you got both of these!

Here are your answers to Guided Reading from yesterday –

Guided Reading Answers

Let’s dive right into today’s learning.

How did you go cooking? I’m sure your family enjoyed a delicious meal.  Today you are going to have a go at writing your own interesting recipe to try and cook over the weekend (Task 2). Don’t forget to include all the features of a procedural text.

If you don’t want to cook – Choose a process you know very well and write a help book for dummies.

Friday 1st May-Literacy

Today we are going to continue practising the skill of summarising.

Friday 1st May-Guided Reading

Below you will find a selection of Maths related tasks for you to complete today.  Please complete Summer term – Week two, Friday Maths Challenge.  This is also an opportunity for you to finish off any unfinished tasks.

Once you have finished that login to Mathletics.

Friday 1st May - Maths

It’s FriArt (I mixed Friday and Art in case you couldn’t pick that up). There are many ‘how to draw a...’ video’s on YouTube.  My personal favourite is “how to draw a mermicorn.’ If you don’t want to draw a Mermicorn then try one of the other fantastic videos.

Friday 1st May - Art

Put your amazing art work up on social media.

Keep up with keeping fit and healthy with PE with Jo.

No mind-boggling mysteries today – I would like you to draw some different and interesting creatures (like Mermicorn).

Have a fantastic Weekend
