MATHS ACTIVITY

LITERACY

Today, we are going to REVISE and extend yesterday's work.

Yesterday you learned about the four different types of sentences:

                                 statement,

command,

question

exclamation about yourself.

Have a look at yesterday's work to remind yourself what those four types of sentences are about.

Then write a sentence for each type.  You can write your sentences about any subject you want.

If you require a new book to write on we can provide one from school if parents call to make an appointment for when to collect.

READING

Your reading task this week is to continue to listen to Audiobooks and discuss them with someone else in your family.

This week we are continuing to listen to Kid Normal. There are still quite a few chapters left so you might want to listen to two chapters today.

Remember to talk about what has happened in the story with somebody at home.

TOPIC - ART

Today we will be studying a spectacular artist called Wassily Kandinsky. He was a Russian artist known for using lots of colours and shapes in his artwork. We will be recreating our own Kandinsky-inspired artwork. You will need some paints or colouring pencils for today’s lesson

Follow the link to the Oak Academy website and press Start to begin the lesson.

VIRTUAL CHOIR

This week we are still working on our exciting project at St John the Divine.

This is to put together an online choir performance of the children from different year groups.

Mr Postles has put a new Blog on the Music page about this.  You can access the Music Blog from the same place you access this page every day of use this link below to go straight there:

MUSIC BLOG

In order to make this happen, all you need to do is to record the child singing along to one (or all three!) of the songs chosen for this project. There are a few things we need to get right, so please refer to the information on the blog!

To see Mr Postles explain the information in a video, please follow this link:
